What a Cúntas Míosúil needs to include

There is no single mandated format, but a monthly record that does its job covers, for each subject:

• Work covered / Obair a rinneadh: what was taught this month, in plain terms
• The curriculum reference: which strands, strand units or Learning Outcomes that work belongs to, from the right curriculum for that subject (the right document varies by subject in 2026/27)
• A short reflection where it earns its place: what went well, what needs revisiting

The updated preparation guidance is explicit that records should be practical and manageable.

The one thing a template can’t do
